My daughter Lyla at 3 months.

On-Air: Friday Morning Show: 6:00-9:00 A.M.

Date of birth : 4 -19

E-mail : joey(at)wber(dot)org

WBER History : 1986: Back in the day my Mom read that WBER offered a summer radio camp. I enrolled because I had always been fascinated by radio and being a D.J.. 1989-90: I started my first radio show on WBER 90.5 FM while attending my senior year in high school at McQuaid. 1993: During the summer of my senior year at the State University At Geneseo, I returned to WBER and interned for Jennifer V and also had my own show again. My dream job after college was always to work at WBER full time. 1994: After I graduated, I stayed at WBER doing my own weekly show and created the Indie Show. In December, Jennifer took a job at the WMAX and I applied for the job of Assistant Program Director and Music Director. I started full time at WBER as Assistant Program Director and Music Director on January 15, 1995. 2001: During the Summer of 2001, I was promoted to the position of WBER Station Manager and Program Director. I am very lucky to have a job that I love and look forward to every day.

2007: I decided to retire the Indie Show from WBER as I started to see a trend over the past few years where there were fewer truly "indie" labels around. I always defined "indie" as a label that was independent and had independent distribution. The final Indie Show aired on March 7, 2007.

Real World: WBER Station Manager/Program Director A sample of my daily activities includes the following: overseeing the daily operations at 90.5 FM. auditioning all music sent to the station to determine whether or not an artist is worthy of regular rotation at WBER. hiring, training, and critiquing all WBER DJ's. forming and maintaining relationships between WBER and the record labels or underwriter sponsors that wish to support the station. coordinating promotions for the station, updating the WBER website ( http://wber.monroe.edu). answering all inquiries and feedback sent to WBER. My on air time isn't what it used to be, but I can still be heard running the Friday Morning Show with Pepper.
