On-air name: Sloan Kristy

Time slot: Wednesday 10:00 P.M.-12:00 A.M.

Birthday: August 10

E-Mail: SK@wber.org

WBER History: I discovered WBER in 1995 and after that it rarely left my dial. I started dj-ing in 2001, and at the end of my first stint here I was host of The Local Show. I left to pursue a career working in horror movies and writing for horror movie magazines, which I did for a while until saving animals became my life. 5 years after my departure, WBER’s siren call has proved too much and here I am.

Real World: Born and raised in WNY. Currently attending college for my degree in Veterinary Technology. In my “spare time,” I take care of a feral colony, rescue cats, watch horror movies and eat bbq corn chips. Proud mother to 5 cats (don’t be a hater).

5 Favorite Albums:
The Mars Volta- Deloused in the Comatorium
The Format- Interventions & Lullabies
Death Cab for Cutie- Transatlanticism
The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead
The Promise Ring- Wood/Water

Favorite TV Show: The Office

#1 Crush: Pretty much any dude who is tall and has glasses

Your passion: Saving cats in need

Words to live by: “Tomorrow is a new day, that’s the beauty of things, best to keep that in mind.”- Matthew Good
