WBER History:
I realized it was time for something different sometime in the mid-90's, when I found myself correctly guessing the next song in the playlist on certain other stations. I stumbled on WBER, which was probably playing Robyn Hitchcock or Skinny Puppy or something just as bizarre that I’d never heard before. I was hooked, and soon became a regular caller on the Friday Morning Show, then known as Monf. After a number of years of winning an obscene number of CD's and concert tickets, I reckoned it was time to put some hours in and repay the station that’s been so good to me over the years.

Real World:
I work over at the Genesee Brewery. I get paid to make beer.

Favorite Top 5 Albums:
MC Frontalot - Final Boss
Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground and Nico
Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star

Your hero/role model:
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

First concert:
Smashing Pumpkins, Superbowl Sunday 1996. It actually was pretty terrible. They were in the middle of anti-moshing hysteria, and D’arcy and Billy clearly couldn’t stand each other. And I was not nearly old enough to appreciate a 20 minute version of Rhinoceros.

Favorite beverage:
Coffee, of course. Black. I’m never in the studio (or anywhere else) without it.

Favorite Quote (words to live by):
“Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot.” –Charlie Chaplin
