Bill GriffinTimeslot : AlternateEmail : Dillhate@rochester.rr.com |
| WBER History : Started
as a grunt in the trenches doing the Thursday 3:00 am to 6:00 am shift,
somehow stumbled into replacing the legendary Tommy Fever as host of First
Impressions, got a lot of free discs and stickers from that gig. Joined
morning show in Spring of 99, and I must say it's been a hoot working with
Joey " I'm Joe Guisto" Guisto, Dr. Pepper , S@#! Ice, and that homeless
man that makes movies (Sliedeck?). I also work part-time trying to talk
Joey into having staff meetings and asking him what new concerts have been
announced.
What you do in the Real World : When not
pestering Joey and Chris Andrews or earning a living, I can be found working
out, laughing, playing golf or softball, having a blast with my great friends(many
of them have been referenced to on the show), playing my bass for the band
D.I.G. (We Rock For Christ!!), traveling, hanging with my best girl and
just basically living life.
Favorite Movies : Swingers (ultimate guy
movie) ,
Favorite Book : The bible is by far the best piece of literature ever written. I highly reccommend it to everyone! Been Arrested : Yep, for disorderly conduct and driving on a sidewalk...drop me a note if you want details WBER Deejays you most admire : I admire
all of the WBER deejays for their dedication and loyalty to the station,
but I do have my favorites.....DJ T.I.M. (The rest of us are not worthy)
, Joey (just for all of the crap he has to deal with), Tim Biedeck (same
comedic taste as me), Tommy Fever (wish he was still around), Dr. S@#$
Ice ( nice sweater vests), kudos also to Brian Scott, Dave Michaels, DJ
Zack, Norm (Boner), Steve ( Scabs), Frizbee, Brian Bailey, his best girl
Shana, and last but not least, The queen of 80's music,
Words to Live By : Fill your life with love for your fellow human beings. Not just family and friends, but for everybody, even your enemies and ex-girlfriends. Love is the key to truly enjoying what god has given us. Love works!!! Also, be thankful that Chris Andrews had the will and the way to start
WBER. There are many cities out there where the average radio listener
has never heard of Soul Coughing, G-Love, Primus..etc..due to the fact
that they don't have a station that regularly plays that stuff, and If
WBER was to never exist, we the Rochester radio listeners would not have
had the chance
To anyone who knocks the station I have a suggestion,,, for one week try and not tune into WBER and learn what the Rochester radio experience is like without it....I bet most of you will find it very bland....Thanks WBER!!! |
