WBER History:
I discovered WBER through my
brother years before when his band (I'll save him embarrassment by not
mentioning the band's name,) played live on WBER...that was...hmmm, 1989? Since
that point I have been hardcore 'BER. Originally, my first stint as a D.J. at
WBER was due in large part to Dr. Poppa-New-Ginnea-Ice. He is responsible for
training me as well and it is his fault that you still have to deal with me. I
was trained during his 10A/Tues. show and did 3-6A overnights before moving to
the post-F.M.S. 10-1P. Eventually the pressures of modern-day life destroyed the
fun I was having at WBER and I left on hiatus. It was almost 2 years later that
I finally asked myself, "Why am I not doing what I love to do?" So
finally I went back to Joey and he arranged for me to take up the post 1st-Imp.
show (Mid-3A Tues>Wed.) After that things just fell into place, the station
restructured and I Deputy Dulen asked if I wanted drivetime Mondays...I thought
about it for maybe 2 seconds before answering "Hell Yeah!"
Real World:
Outside of WBER, I work at a Coffee
House at night and I also am an Outdoor Education Facilitator for a non-profit
organization, (for >those of you scratching your heads that means they pay me
to play on a ropes course.) I went to school in Fairport at St. Johns' and
Bishop Kearney H.S. is where I spent '92-'96. I grew up in Fairport and was
constantly in the woods exploring and being extremely anti-social, but oh
well...

Words
to live by: "There
will never be a simple answer, and there will never be anything easy. Life
responds to the actions we take and often throws us into situations we are
completely unprepared for. Often the demands upon us are more than we can bear
and at that point you have to choices, succumb to the pressures of modern-living
or evolve to fit the constantly changing environment we call life."
